Governance across the zone will be overseen by a Regional Council elected by clubs. Ten elected directors will make up the Regional Council. The Regional Council will be led by a Chair who will be supported by a Chair Elect, with each serving two year terms.
The Council will develop and oversee systems that improve the consistency and predictability of Rotary and Rotaract programs and services, and will be accountable for outcomes at a regional level.
All Council roles will be open to members with the required skills and experience. For the duration of the pilot, districts will remain and governors will continue to provide support to clubs, but certain functions will gradually be transferred from districts to the regional structure.
A Corporate and Administration Lead will be appointed in a non-voting position to support the operations of the Regional Council, including finance, risk management, IT and communications.
